🍝 Creamy Mushroom Pasta
A delightful and rich pasta dish featuring sautéed mushrooms in a creamy sauce.
Ingredients
- 300 grams Spaghetti
- 300 grams Button mushrooms
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 1 medium Onion
- 30 grams Butter
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- 20 grams Flour
- 200 millilitres Heavy cream
- 50 grams Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
- 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 3 minutes.
- Add sliced mushrooms and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until mushrooms are tender and golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Sprinkle flour over the mushroom mixture and stir to coat. Cook for 1-2 minutes to remove the raw flour taste.
- Gradually pour in heavy cream while stirring constantly to prevent lumps from forming. Continue to cook until the sauce thickens, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and incorporated into the sauce. Adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed.
- Add cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat with the creamy mushroom sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.
- Serve the creamy mushroom pasta garnished with chopped fresh parsley. Enjoy!
- Tip: For a richer sauce, you can add a splash of white wine to the skillet after adding the mushrooms and garlic.
