Dreyer’s Girl Scout Thin Mint Ice Cream (For All You Thin Mint Lovers)
For all you folks that love to crunch on thin mints, listen up! There’s now an ice cream to fill that void as well. Dreyer has created something that the craziest of Girl Scout cookie fans will love, Dreyer’s Girl Scout Thing Mint ice cream.
Now I’m a bigger fan of the Samoa ice cream that Dreyer’s also makes, due to my love of caramel, but I can see the fun in a similar thin mint version as well. Here we basically have a chocolate mint ice cream base with a bunch of crushed thin mints mixed in for good measure. I think the two blend well to make a wonderfully, creamy dessert and it will certainly please the fans of the original cookie.
There is also an Edy’s Slow Churn Grand Light version as well if you’re looking for some calorie relieve. Once again I think the Dreyer’s version tastes much better. It’s only available between January and April so make sure to get your fill of thin mints before they go away for next year!
We just finished a Dreyer’s Thin Mint and went to Von’s and bought a new one…. but…. it was very different from the first one. It wasn’t dark brown chocolate like the first… did they change kinds of ice cream used in the Thin Mint?
Hmmm… Not sure if Dreyer’s changed the actual ice cream or not. I guess I’ll find out next year when the girl scout cookie season is upon us.
