Dreyer’s Girl Scout Samoas Cookie Ice Cream

I’m a big fan of the Samoa cookies, a.k.a. Caramel Delights, that the Girl Scouts sell for fundraising. The yummy deliciousness that is a caramel just makes my mouth drool. Yes, they really are that good and you should order them from your local Girl Scouts. Anyway, I noticed they’re now in ice cream. Talk about a sugary double-threat! It’s made by Dreyer’s and it only seems to be made in the earlier months of the year, January to April I believe.

Basically, it’s a creamy, caramel ice cream with chunks of the Samoas mixed in. There’s some extra stuff too like chocolate fudge swirls, but rest assured caramel and Samoas are the star of the show and is different enough from cookies and cream to be its own thing. Of course, for those of you looking to watch your waistline (and yet still think you can eat ice cream…) there’s a light version as well with fewer calories overall. It’s under Edy’s Slow Churned Grand Light branding, but lets be honest it won’t be as good as the original version. Go out and get some Dreyer’s Girl Scout ice cream, it’s that darn good!

Oh, and for you thin mint fanatics, there’s also a thin mint ice cream to look forward too.
