Brands of Cookware

There are a number of brands of cookware out there and if your buying cookware for the first time it can be really confusing. This guide is meant to help you digest all the different companies out there and get a general feeling about their products. With the wide variety of brands there is also a wide variety of quality to deem from these brands, so it is important to know a few before shopping. Here is a quick guide to cookware brands.

Calphalon - This is the company that is best known for cooking sets in American households. Basically, Calphalon offers the best value to quality ratio of all the cooking companies out there. Sets range from $200 to $400 and can often be found discounted to values far less then that asking price. Calphalon is your best bet at finding a decent set of pots and pans.

All-Clad - Probably the second best brand, All-Clad also offers quality cookware for a solid price. They’re going to cost you a bit more than the Calphalon brand, and won’t be much better. So second best is where it will sit for now.

KitchenAid - Sells a wide variety of kitchen accessories and materials. They also have a number of different kinds of cookware to choose from and is also a popular brand. The sell mostly mid to higher end stuff mainly. The price is right, but you’ll find that KitchenAid cookware sets are little lower on the quality scale.

Viking - A slightly lesser known manufacturer than the others, Vikings cookware is going to be out of the price range of many shoppers and would be chefs. Their cookware sets go from $500 to well over $1000, however, it is quality material being used, even cooking can be expected, and all-in-all this is top notch stuff. Unfortunately, the price makes it unaffordable for anyone other than a top chef.

This has been your guide to some of the more common brands of cookware. That should be more than enough information to get you on your way. If you have any questions please leave a comment.
